The library may have your textbook 'on reserve' if your professor has requested the library put it on reserve and has given us a copy of it. Ask at the 1st floor Circulation Desk or call to see if your textbook is on reserve (ph. 570-389-4205). Have the textbook name, course name, and professor's name handy to help us find it.

By definition a textbook is designed specifically for academic instruction and classroom use and is updated frequently. Ordinarily the library does not purchase textbooks because they are quickly outdated, nor does it request textbooks through interlibrary loan because of copyright restrictions. Sometimes the library may have an older edition of a 'classic' textbook because of its unique content, so always check the catalog, BU Books & More, or ask for assistance if you have question.
