Because of limited staff, the Andruss Library does not provide a genealogical research service.  However, anyone can come into the library and use the microfilm.  Unfortunately, there is no comprehensive subject index for the Press Enterprise or Morning Press, so one must know the approximate date of the event and search all of the papers around that date, which can be time consuming.  If you are unable to come to the Library yourself to do the research, you might want to contact the Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society (see contact info below). They do offer a research service, and volunteers do come to the library to perform genealogical research.  I'm sorry that we are unable to provide this service, but I hope that you find this to be helpful.
