Lexis Nexis Business: Company Profiles may be used to learn the identity of a company's auditor.  The auditor's name will appear in the following reports.

America's Corporate Finance Directory

Hoover's Company Reports

Nelson's Public Company Profiels

WorldScope

For public companies, it is perhaps simplest to use Hoover's Company Reports, by performing the following steps.

  1. Go to Lexis Nexis Business: Business Search
  2. Be sure to select Company Profiles in the lef margin (see green arrow below)
  3. Enter the company name and select Company Name (see red arrow below)
  4. Select Hoover's Company and Industry Reports (see purple arrow below)
  5. Click Search

You may then select the most recent Hoover's Company Record.  The heading "Auditor" will appear near the very end of the report, or you may use your browser's Find in Page feature to find "auditor."

For private companies, select US Private Company Reports instead of Hoover's Company and Industry Reports.
